At Bridgeway Family Counselling, We Believe Therapy Should Be:

Inclusive
We create a space where each voice is heard and valued, fostering a sense of belonging for all family members regardless of age or role.

Collaborative
We partner with families to set goals, develop strategies, and celebrate progress, ensuring that therapy is a joint effort towards growth and healing.

Strengths-Based
We focus on identifying and leveraging your family's inherent strengths, promoting resilience and empowering you to overcome challenges together.
We get to know your family
Understanding your family's history, experiences, and challenges is the first step to building a relationship based on trust and connection. We want to hear your unique story, whether you're a child, teen, parent, or entire family unit.
We develop a personalized plan
We work with you to understand your family's goals and aspirations. Together, we develop a plan specific to your needs and priorities, addressing the unique dynamics of Canadian families.
We support your journey
Each of our sessions is a stepping stone to creating the family life you envision. We adjust your plan as you progress, using age-appropriate skills and strategies we've been working on together, to help strengthen your family bonds.

What is your cancellation policy?

How to Cancel
To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact us by phone at 123-456-7891 or by email at [email protected]. If you need to cancel outside of our regular business hours, you may leave a voicemail or send an email, and we will process your request the next business day.

We believe in offering high-quality care tailored to your needs, and our team is here to help you find the best fit within your budget. Please feel free to contact us for more detailed information or to discuss payment options.
How do I choose a therapist?
Choosing a therapist is a personal decision that depends on your unique needs and preferences. Here are some steps to help guide you:
1. Identify Your Needs: Consider what issues you want to address in therapy, such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or life transitions. Understanding your goals will help you find a therapist who specializes in those areas.
2. Research Therapists: Look for therapists with expertise in your area of concern. Check their credentials, experience, and any special training they may have. Reading reviews or asking for recommendations can also be helpful.
3. Consider the Therapeutic Approach: Different therapists use different approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), or Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). Research these approaches to see which resonates with you.
4. Check Compatibility: It’s essential to feel comfortable with your therapist. Many therapists offer a free consultation or an initial session to help you determine if you’re a good fit. Use this opportunity to assess how well you connect and whether their style aligns with your needs.
5. Logistics and Practicalities: Consider practical factors like location, availability, and cost. Make sure the therapist’s schedule fits with yours, and that their rates align with your budget. If you’re considering online therapy, ensure they offer that option.
Remember, finding the right therapist may take some time, but it’s worth it to ensure you get the support you need. Don’t hesitate to ask questions and trust your instincts when making your choice.
